Search engine submissions: In most circumstances, there is absolutely no benefit in submitting your website to the search engines. Any consultancy offering you this service is demonstrating its lack of expertise/knowledge and/or is attempting to deceive.

The exception would be perhaps the setting up of a Google or a Yahoo sitemap.
