email
marketing
Email is the most widely used
marketing tools of the Internet and there is very little I intend to say here
about it apart from:
If you are not yet using email - you
should.
If you are using email but not very often - then you are
missing out on business generating activities. |
 |
|
|
Why send a document to someone via the
traditional post which can take a number of days and you can be uncertain as to
its arrival date, when you can attach the document to an email and know it will
have arrived on the recipients server within seconds? |
|
At the very least you should have been
doing some surfing of the internet to look at potential suppliers, potential
customers and your competitors. Additionally, if you have even a basic web site
set up you should have been receiving some email correspondence from interested
parties and you should be putting this into a database for later use - the
relaunch of the web site, the addition of new pages which might be of interest
to them, a new product launch, etc.. |
|
Prospective
suppliers: for only a few pence you can search all-round the globe
for other potential suppliers and send them an email which will be received on
their server within seconds. Be adventurous and try some companies that you
wouldn't normally have considered likely. How long would this have taken you to
have done this in the past? |
Prospective
customers: for only a few pence you can search all around the globe
for potential customers by sending them an email and attaching your web site
address. |
|
While you are doing one or both of the two
activities above, I would be very surprised if you did not uncover other
interesting business generating ideas where you could send an exploratory
e-mail explaining your interest. |
