An interesting article by Sujan Patel where the 10 most common myths on SEO are discussed. I find this particularly useful in light of the Google revolution (Panda & Penguin) where there is no doubt many of the SEO rules were either tweaked or re-written.

The myths discussed are:

SEO is Dead, SEO is Spam, Anyone Can Do SEO, Buying Links or Social Signals Will Make My Pages Rank Better, The More Links I Have, the Better, Good Content Will Guarantee My Pages Rank Well, Google Penalized My Site, PageRank is the Only Metric That Matters, Using Google Analytics Allows Google to Spy on Me, SEO is a “Paint by Numbers” Solution.

Well worth the read to quickly bring you up to speed on many key issues.
